Canada barely clung to a 5-4 victory over the Slovaks to advance to the next round. Phew! That was a nailbiter!

Edit: But not as much of a nailbiter as the Czech/US game, that went to overtime and then a shootout, with the Czechs coming back from an early 2-0 defecit to tie it, and then win in the shootout to eliminate the US ( Read more... )

Oh, and congratulations to Slovenia for scoring their first goal of the tournament, so they only got outscored 18-1 in three games... ;)
